A friend suggested I do a top 10 list to finish off my resolution. So here are my top 10 recipes from this year!
- Baked Potato Soup
This recipe was so warm and tasty, it was the best kind of comfort food! You can’t go wrong with baked potato and cheese, and making it into a soup made it a wonderful winter recipe!
- Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
These pancakes had a simple and delicious twist. They were quite sweet, so this isn’t something I wouldn’t have all the time, but it is a very nice treat for once in a while.
- Stir Fry
I was surprised by how simple this recipe was. You really just take whatever meats and veggies you have on hand and fry them up with the stir fry sauce, which is also really basic to make. You just need some rice or noodles to serve it with and you’re ready to go!
- Vegan Mac n Cheese
I was definitely curious to see if this recipe would be as good as non-vegan Mac n Cheese, and it definitely was! You get the delicious cheesy taste from the nutritional yeast, while also getting all the benefits from the veggies!
This recipe took a bit of patience, but it paid off! A baguette is such a nice treat, it is one of my favourite breads!
- Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
I did so many Crock Pot recipes in 2017, so it’s not surprising that one made it into the top 10. The flavours in this recipe worked so well together and it made a delicous dish!
- Chocolate Zucchini Cake
Technically this isn’t a dinner, but it is still one of my favourite recipes from 2017! Resurrecting this recipe from my childhood was such a good idea. Who knew that chocolate and zucchini could work so well together?
- Crème Brûlée
Another dessert, but this linked to a lobster dinner recipe, so I think it counts. The Crème Brûlée was a bit more challenging to make, but it was so delicious! Especially the chocolate-flavoured one!
Pizza is a staple in my house, so this is definitely a recipe I will be making over and over again. I’m just surprised it took me this long to learn it!
- Spinach Puffs
This is most certainly the best recipe I learned this year. I’ve already lost count of the number of times we’ve made it since learning it. I just make a bunch of the filling, freeze it, then whenever we want some spinach puffs, we just buy some puff pastry and assemble the puffs!
I also thought it would be interesting to see what YOUR top 10 recipes were, i.e. what got the most views.
