Week 51: Pork Chops

With my vegetarian parents away, I decided to try something I’ve been wanting to try for a little while: Pork Chops.

Here is the recipe I used.

I picked this recipe because it was simple and it was a slow cooker recipe. When preparing it, I realized our Worcestershire sauce had expired, so I used soy sauce instead. When I was browning the pork, before it was put in the slow cooker, I didn’t know how to tell when it was supposed to be done, so I may have overdone it. The recipe didn’t give me a time to spend frying the meat. Also, dealing with the leftover fat was really gross, so maybe I’ll save it for the BBQ in the future.

When the pork chops were done in the slow cooker, they were surrounded by delicious caramelized onions so I couldn’t wait to try it! The pork chops were very tasty! The sauce complemented them very well. I boiled some asparagus and Brussels sprouts to go with it, and it was a great combination. I’ll probably be making this again!
